Sissy Space received her bachelor’s in forensic science with minors in chemistry, biology, and criminal justice from the University of Central Oklahoma as well as a master’s in anthropology at Wichita State University. Her study in anthropology included biological, where she focused on identification and analysis of skeletal remains, and cultural, in which she assisted in projects including but not limited to ritual analysis and visual documentation of peoples and cultures. She has a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative methodology. Professionally, Sissy Space is now using these talents to pursue a career in documentary filmmaking to make science more accessible and to help others to understand people and cultures around the world. In her personal life, Sissy Space is an avid cosplayer and nerd. She cosplays for a variety of organizations including Forever After Parties. She recently assisted Dynamite Conventions as the Science Lead for CrashLanded. In 2018, with New World Comics, she was awarded for most costume appearances in a single year and going above and beyond in charity events.
