Cari Farrar started in the fiber arts over four decades ago when taught to sew by her mother. At ten she became hooked on yarn after receiving a crochet hook and basic instructions. Various fiber skills have wound their way into her life through the years including knitting, spinning, felting and weaving.
She has demonstrated spinning at several events and has been featured in an ad for Guthrie’s Victorian Walk. Demonstrating spinning is among her favorite things to do. When at rest, knitting needles will generally be found in her hands.
She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Mathematics. That math background enables her to decipher instructions and add new skills to her fiber passion. Much of the fleece she currently uses is from her flock of Jacob Sheep.
