When the Rach Empire crossed into Terran Federation territory and attacked several systems all along their shared border, the long-simmering resentment by the Rach of the armistice was let loose in a wave of death and destruction.
Led by the Fakk Tr’Khul (The Blood of Heros) Regiment, the Rach have landed on Clavis IV and begun their march to the planet’s capital city of Umbria. Standing in their way is the Terran’s 40th Legion, “The Heartbreakers” and the Castra Stativa (fortress) they defend. Unwilling to leave such a strong force to their rear, the Rach march to the attack!
Using the CAV: Strike Operations system, each two-plus hour event is for 2-6 players with some wargaming experience. Rules will be taught, and all materials are provided. Prizes will be awarded to all participants!

This social deduction game has players trying to figure out who among them is the Chameleon. A secret word is randomly chosen at the beginning of the round, and everyone takes turns saying one word that pertains to that, except of course the Chameleon who has to guess at what everyone is talking about! After everyone says a word, everyone debates who they think is the Chameleon, and if they’re right, they win! But if they guess wrong, the Chameleon wins that round! Then the roles shift, and it’s time to see who might be the new Chameleon!

Fai Chen’s inventory changes over time, and there is only so much that can fit in his cart and that his mule can pull. Shadowrun 5E is a tabletop roleplaying game set at the nexus between cyberpunk dystopia and high fantasy. Players take the role of shadowrunners — deniable assets hired by megacorporations to do their dirty work. Many are outcasts, having risen from the streets or fallen from corporate or government ranks. Their ranks include idealists and pragmatists, professionals and amateurs, disillusioned ex-corp/government/military personnel who have thrown off the shackles of corp society to achieve freedom, and those who have never known any life outside the shadows. The one thing they have in common is that through necessity or by choice, they work in the shadows cast by the gigantic corporate buildings.

Less of a game and more of an excuse to show off your improv skills! News at 11 has players taking the roles of anchors, producers, and interviewees, as players use the cue cards they’re given to explain whatever topic they’ve been handed by the lead anchor. Better yet, you can customize the cue cards as you see fit for whatever topic you’re given! If you’re the type of player who doesn’t feel comfortable talking in front of others, you can be a producer and play your cards in the middle of other player’s segments to create a little bit of chaos for everyone. Over the course of the morning, afternoon, and evening segments, it’s going to be one crazy news day for this group of anchors!

If Lost became a cooperative survival card game that made a bit more sense, it might be Ravine! The players have survived a crash landing, and have to survive the next several nights until rescue arrives. Each round players must decide to risk their health to try to scavenge for food and supplies, to help hopefully survive the night phase where different hazards can cause players to lose those hard won supplies. When day comes back around, anyone with low health has to draw a madness card, which could be the downfall of the entire group! As long as one player survives for the rescue plane, everyone wins!

In this game, you’re either a Liberal trying to get all the Liberal policies out, or a Fascist trying to do the same or also get Hitler elected Chancellor. Each turn, the Presidency switches to the next player who gets to pick who they want as their Chancellor, then everyone votes on if they think that’s a good team. After that, the President draws 3 policies and passes 2 to the Chancellor, and the Chancellor chooses one to enact. It sounds easy since the Liberals always outnumber the Fascists, but because there are more Fascists policies than Liberal ones, even a Liberal team might be stuck with all Fascist policies for their draw. No matter what side you’re on, it’s a hilarious time and you’ll want to go just one more round to see if your side will be the winning team this time!

The company that did Werewolf is back with this game! The game starts with the mayor choosing a word from the app, and the werewolf and seer players each seeing what that word is. Then players have four minutes to figure out what that word is through yes and no questions, with the werewolf and seer hindering and helping players respectively. They have to be careful though, because if the players win, the werewolf has the chance to guess who the seer is and win the game for themselves, or if the word isn’t guessed, players can guess who the werewolf is and take the win for themselves if they guess correctly!
SoonerCon offers more than just tabletop gaming.
